My work looks at the intersection of parenting, philosophy and politics.  I am especially interested in the way we as a society perceive the role of parents, and what we need to do better as a society to support parents.  I see parenting as a formidable task, requiring our hearts and souls.  We cannot take it for granted that people will find it always easy or enjoyable, and yet, so often that is exactly what we do.
